Department of Biology:
Graduate Assistantships

A limited number of graduate teaching assistantships are awarded on a competitive basis each year in the department. Students with teaching assistantships are usually responsible for teaching introductory biology laboratories. In order to initially qualify for an assistantship, students must have a sufficient amount of coursework in general biology, human biology, zoology and botany. For international students, a 10-15 minute English language video discussing some aspect of the above biology areas is highly recommended. This video will be used to gauge the applicant’s spoken proficiency of the English language. For information, deadlines and applications, contact the chair of the department.
