Admission

Procedure After Admission

Following admission to a graduate degree program, a student must confer with the graduate adviser in the major department and, if applicable, the minor department to obtain advice about the courses to take. As soon as possible and preferably during the first semester or summer session of enrollment, a student should have a degree plan made by the graduate adviser in the major department and, if applicable, the minor department. In the case of a minor, a representative of the minor department must be included on the student’s advisory committee. Some departments require an Admission to Candidacy.
